Why and for what purposes are we processing personal data?
We are a law firm and we offer our clients various legal services. Due to the nature of our operations, we need to process various personal data, including sensitive ones. Without the processing of personal data, our activities would not be possible.
We use our clients information for customer relationship, assignments and to ensure that we are not disqualified to take a case. Data processing is based on an agreement with the client.
Counterparty information of our client assignment part of the assignment information and necessary to carry out the assignment and to ensure that we are not disqualified to take the case . This information is processed solely for these specific purposes. Data processing is based on the implementation of the legitimate interests of the third party.
We handle the information of our employees for the purpose of fulfilling the employer’s obligations. Data processing is based on an agreement and compliance with legal obligations.
We process the information of our jobseekers for recruitment purposes. The processing of the data is based on the consent of the jobseeker.
On our website, visitors’ information is processed for the development of our site. The processing of the information is based on the consent of our guests on our site. You have the option not to give your consent and thus refuse tracking cookies.
From which sources do we collect personal information?
As a rule, all information is collected from the data subject himself. Thus, information about customer relationships or assignments is basically obtained from our client. Counterparty information for the assignment is obtained in principle from the client. Employee and jobseeker information is obtained from themselves.
In some situations, we may obtain information about customer relationships or assignments from public registers (such as the Trade Register) or number services, if this is necessary to handle the assignment.
To whom do we share your information?
We will not disclose your information to third parties. Your information may only be disclosed if specifically agreed with you.
Nonetheless, legislation or regulatory requirements may in certain circumstances require disclosure. In these cases, each request for disclosure is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing
The Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act (444/2017) requires customer identification and use of other personal information to prevent, detect and clear out money laundering and terrorist financing, and to lead to investigation in cases where money laundering and terrorist financing and other crimes was used to gain property or criminal benefit.
We use the obtained customer identity information or other personal information for the purpose of preventing and disclosing money laundering or terrorist financing, and for no other reason.
Website and cookies
We use Google Analytics on our web site to provide statistics on visitors to our web site. We use this information to improve our website.
Our website specifically asks visitors to consent to the use of tracking cookies (cookie notification bar at the bottom of our website). Clicking the “OK” button in the cookie notification bar will allow tracking cookies and will trigger the tracking code.

Google Analytics also collects data on the age, gender, and interests of visitors to our websites, if available. We understand that this information may be obtained at least when a visitor accesses our site from a device or browser that is logged in with a Google Account and has allowed access to this information. This also applies when a visitor arrives at our site through a search engine that he or she logs in with. However, the data collected cannot be associated with an individual or a specific Google Account.
The information collected about visitors is retained for 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted. The retention period is calculated from the last time a visitor visited our site and gave consent to Google Analytics tracking.
The collected information will not be disclosed to third parties. The following are exceptions: 1. Google Technical Support Representatives to provide services or resolve technical issues as needed. 2. Google marketing experts and Google sales experts for configuration and analysis improvement and optimization tips. 3. Google products and services linked to Google Analytics. For example, we may use search engine advertising (Google Ads) to advertise and provide our services. 4. The data may also be used to generate comparative results, such as industry comparisons. This information is anonymous and cannot be linked to our website.
We use Google’s reCAPTCHA service to protect our spam contact form on our website. The service attempts to distinguish, based on user behavior on the contact form, whether the submitter is an automated application (bot) or a natural person.

How do we take care of protecting your information?
Your information will be protected in all situations. All of your information is stored in encrypted form and is not accessible to third parties. We take care of information security with modern technical methods, including encryption of information, firewall, security software, encrypted connection and backup.
How long will we keep the data?
When evaluating your data retention period we take into account the purpose of the data processing, the legislation that obliges us and the instructions of the Finnish Bar Association.
What rights do you have?
Under the Privacy Policy, you are entitled to:
